SACRED HEART PARISH MINISTRIES is located in the Convent Basement. Please use the entrance to the Convent Yard on 77th Ave. and ring the back Convent doorbell labeled Parish Ministries.

    • The Food Pantry is available for those in financial need who are Glendale Residents. Please bring proof of address, Medicaid Card and children’s Medicaid Cards and Birth Certificates. Our hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Please follow the above directions for entrance to Parish Ministries. Please call before you visit as the schedule is subject to change.
    • The Bereavement Group meetings take place on the 2nd Wednesday of the month @ 1:00pm in the Cronin Meeting Room. Please call 718-821-3285 before you come since circumstances and other needs sometimes cause us to switch our meeting day.
    • The Saint Vincent De Paul Society attempts to meet the spiritual needs of our homebound as well as keeping an eye open to their physical and emotional condition. We also attempt to help those that find themselves in poor financial circumstances by offering direction and recommending city agencies. The members of the St. Vincent De Paul Society meet every other month on a Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the Cronin Meeting.
    • The Prayer Shawl Group is a group of women who come together to knit and crochet shawls and blankets for anyone who needs care and comfort. All new members are welcome.

    • The Consolation Ministry consists of a group of people who attend to those who are grieving by attending the Funeral Mass, sharing comfort to those who are mourning.
